Home Again

It is currently 8 am in the states, 2 pm in Brussels. We are home and mostly awake. The kids did Great on the plane. We had a 3 year old girl sitting in the seats behind us so they kind of occupied each other- it was wonderful. By the time we got off the plane I felt like this little girl and her mother were family (8 hours is a long time to occupy kids where they are only allowed to sit in their seats and the occasional walk around). Meg made friends everywhere we went. The little girl mentioned above was on the flight from Brussels to JFK. Then at the airport she found another little girl to play with and on the last flight a little girl was in the seat in front of us. It was so nice as mothers as a general rule are into the sharing thing (what is mine is yours if it will help you out with fussy kids). This was very true all day yesterday and it was kind of a group effort with everyone we met keeping all of our kids occupied and happy. It was a big blessing during a stressful time.
Titus fell alseep a little too early last night, Meg stayed awake until 7:30, which is normal bedtime. They both were awake and ready to go at 3 am. By 5 am we realized they were definately not going back to sleep and by 7 am we had had breakfast and bathed and cleaned up some, and I think have every toy we own out and scattered about the house. Here are some cute pictures of the kids this am- Meg so takes after me, cleaning the first day back! Titus is showing off some new animals some friends left him in a welcome back package.
