The Container

We have loaded the container and it is on it's way to Japan!!! What a relief it is to have that done. What could have been a horrible day turned out to go very smoothly. On Monday Kevin called to find out why we had not been contacted yet by the container company and we found out that they had us down for Wed, not Tues. First thing Tues am he called and they said 99% they would be able to do us today but it would have to be early. They called back at noon to confirm that they would be able to bring the container and that they would be getting there at 4:30- not too bad since we had told everyone to get there by 5:00. When I arrived on the site before 4- the container was sitting there and had been since 3:30. Man were we stressed and not sure what we were going to do. The only people there were Kevin and Kelley. By 4:15 a group of 4 men had arrived and they went to work and did a fabulous job. Soon others started arriving as well and I am amazed at how quickly it was finished- by 5:40 they were finishing securing it. Everyone was great and willing to do whatever- we just wish we had you all on the other end to unload and get the stuff to our house!!! Thank you all so much for a fabulous job and easing my mind about sending my stuff across the world!!
