Our Day Off- The Zoo

We took the kids to the Washington zoo today- partly because we all needed a day off from all the work we have been doing, and partly because our poor kids have watched soo many movies and not had much time with us because of it all. The weather was perfect and the kids had a blast. We did a lot that we had not done before- the small mammals house, the reptile house (us adults could only think of the scene in the Harry Potter book- we could not wait to get out of there!), the bird house and the lions and tigers. It was wonderful to spend the day as a family and not have to worry about what we should be doing. Since it was warm we stopped and got the kids a treat. Do you notice something wrong in these pictures?! After picking out the kid popsicle and having one bite- Titus decided that it was nasty and would much rather have the frozen ice. So Kevin wound up eating the kid one and Titus claimed the adult one as his own. Again- I ask myself "where did my children come from?!
