The clothes dryer

My beloved clothes dryer. It came just in time- I was SO getting tired of doing so much laundry and hanging it all. New house, new country, a change in life = toilet problems for the Dingle kids. Lets just say there were numerous days I had no shorts to put on Titus because they were all either "dirty" in the hamper or hanging and not quite dry yet, and this kid has a ton of shorts. We were changing clothes 5 times a day.

On to the dryer- I LOVE it. It is interesting- in America our washer always would finish before our dryer and we had to wait to switch the laundry over. This finishes first so I have time to empty it and wait for the wash to finish and throw it in. It is so quick and efficient and easy to use. Meg can even use it and does. It is even a decent size. The manual said it can dry about 25 shirts, or 100 cloth diapers, or 10 pairs of pj's- interesting the items it listed. If you click on the picture so you can see it bigger the far right button is the power button, then the red one is the start button. On the left are all the options- one for "iron" if you want the clothes slightly damp so you can iron them, one for blankets and towels that take longer to dry, one for sheets which normally would get more wrinkly, one for jeans and a delicate cycle- just to name a few. This thing weighs and feels the dampness within and drys until everything inside is dry- it is fabulous. Interesting though that the buttons are all on the bottom- very different. The gas company even provided the stand that it is on so it can be above my washer. So now I have a proper American laundry room (at least for 2-3 years while we have this house)
