A new Year, A new calling?

We have been putting on hold any sort of update- because quite frankly there is not much to update on. We feel these past months have been helpful to us as a family to begin the settling process and find help for Titus, but we have no answers in regards to a job. While we know we need to be patient, it is frustrating to not have any idea where God wants our family to serve in the future.

While the job front has been a lesson in patience- God has blessed us beyond measure in many other ways.

1. We have found a house that we can afford, that we LOVE, that is in a great location, and has opportunity for us to be able to live there long term- like never move again!!! I walked into this house and fell in love with it immediately- it is cute and old and as my college roommate said- is exactly me. Our container just arrived in NY so it should be here soon and we can move in. We are SO looking forward to being truly settled and getting into a routine. Isn't it just the cutest!?

2. Titus has been going to occupational therapy for about a month now and we have been blessed with a wonderful lady who not only has worked with kids with sensory processing disorder for many, many years- but she has a 20 yr old one at home, so she knows first hand the challenges of parenting one of these kids and special tactics to really help them not just survive, but thrive and love life. She is amazing and we have seen great progress with Titus in this last month because she does not just work with Titus, she loves him and really invests in him.

3. Titus has started school and LOVES it. This is really huge progress as just a few weeks ago he was still clinging to me and did not want to go anywhere without me. Every day he has walked confidently into the classroom and participated and had no problems. The school is fabulous and really is the best fit for him. The teacher, the way she runs her classroom, the people who come in to help- all are a perfect fit for Titus and have really helped him come out of his shell. I tell you, we have a different kid here. This brings so much joy to our hearts to see him happy again and able to love life. It confirms for us the decision we have made and that it truly was the best move for our family.

It looks like we will be staying with MTW through the summer and Kevin will be working on special projects for the Japan team as well as other things MTW needs done until he is able to find employment. Praise God with us for these blessings above and that we have an agency that cares for us while we flounder about seeking where God would have us next.
