We just got a call from my brother. Apparently my dad is being taken to the ER again (he went last week and they found out he has bronchitis). Since last week he has not gotten any better and actually has gotten worse- so his doctor told them to take him in. They are going to do a CT scan today (instead of waiting another month which was the original plan). This should be able to tell us if the medicine he is on is working or not.
Please pray
...that the CT scan would show improvement since the last one- which would mean the medicine is working
...for skill and wisdom of the doctors taking care of him
...for my mother as he has strep and herself is not feeling well
... for my youngest sister as she has taken them to the ER and a lot of the care has fallen on her since she is the one in the area. This is a lot to put on her for being the youngest
...for my oldest sister who is living with my parents with 4 kids- for the stress on her trying to keep the germs away from my dad and it quiet so he can rest (she has been trying to stay out of the house alot- which makes it hard on her and the kids)
...for all of us as we worry and wait- that we would TRUST and know that God is good

An update for those reading this: Dad was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia in both lungs. They're treating him with IV antibiotics & are running all sorts of tests on him. The CT was not able to give any information on the effectiveness of the cancer treatment, so they are planning to do a repeat on Thursday.
